The World is Flat… except in the classroom

A while back I had a very surreal experience while sitting in class.

Try to picture for a minute just how disconnected these two worlds are. The academic side is stuck talking about things that happened 50-500 years ago. At the same time, I’m sitting in the back of the class and coordinating with my brother who is in our garage shop, our manufacturer in China, and my virtual assistant in India all from my iPhone. Who cares what Wal-Mart is doing?
